Naver News Search API
Scrape Naver News Search data with one API call. Searches news.naver.com: aggregated Korean news from licensed publishers. Returns articles as PostList rows: `post.ext.title` (tags stripped, entities decoded), `post.url` (publisher URL), `post.content.text` (snippet), and `post.published_at`.
Last updated October 2026Maintained by the SocialCrawl team
Returns Korean news articles from Naver News: headline, the publisher's own URL, the Naver hosted URL, a snippet, and the publish date.
Use it for Korean press coverage; for news in other markets and languages use google_news/search instead.

What can you do with the News Search API?
The News Search endpoint gives you structured Naver data with computed fields in a single request. No scraping infrastructure to build or maintain.
Example Request
curl -H "x-api-key: YOUR_API_KEY" \
"https://www.socialcrawl.dev/v1/naver/news/search?query=%EC%82%BC%EC%84%B1%EC%A0%84%EC%9E%90&display=10"import requests
response = requests.get(
"https://www.socialcrawl.dev/v1/naver/news/search",
params={
'query': '삼성전자',
'display': '10',
},
headers={"x-api-key": "YOUR_API_KEY"},
)
data = response.json()const response = await fetch(
"https://www.socialcrawl.dev/v1/naver/news/search?query=%EC%82%BC%EC%84%B1%EC%A0%84%EC%9E%90&display=10",
{
headers: { "x-api-key": "YOUR_API_KEY" },
},
);
const data = await response.json();Parameters
| Parameter | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| query | Yes | Free-text search term (UTF-8). Required. |
| display | No | Number of items to return per page. Defaults to 10, cap 100; `display=101` returns 400. |
| start | No | 1-indexed offset for pagination. Defaults to 1, cap 1000; `start=1001` returns 400. |
| sort | No | Sort order. Accepted values: sim|date. Defaults to `sim` (relevance) when the corpus supports sort. Values outside this corpus's domain are rejected with a 400 before any upstream call. (sim | date) |
| since | No | Only rows published on or after this date: YYYY-MM-DD (midnight UTC) or an ISO 8601 timestamp. Rows older than it are left off the page, and the page that reaches one ends the walk: `next_cursor` is not returned and `pagination.stopped_at` is `since`. Sending it sets the newest-first sort shown in this endpoint's sort parameter (any other sort value is a free 400). The page still costs what a page costs, so you pay for the pages you walk and no more. A row with no date is kept. `published_after`, `start_date`, `from_date`, `publish_time` (`yesterday`, `this-week`, `this-month`, `last-3-months`, `last-6-months`) and `max_age_days` are accepted and applied as `since`. |
| until | No | Only rows published on or before this date: YYYY-MM-DD (that whole UTC day is included) or an ISO 8601 timestamp. Newer rows are left off each page and the walk does not stop, so older pages follow. A row with no date is kept. `published_before`, `end_date` and `to_date` are accepted and applied as `until`. |
