This Cookie Policy explains how Ridio Limited ("we", "us", or "our"), operating the SocialCrawl platform, uses cookies and similar storage technologies when you visit or interact with our website and services. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide reporting information. Some cookies are set by us (first-party cookies), while others are set by third-party services we use (third-party cookies).
We also use similar technologies such as localStorage, a browser storage mechanism that functions like cookies but is stored differently. Where we refer to "cookies" in this policy, we include these similar technologies unless stated otherwise.

We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Authenticate you and keep your session secure
- Remember your preferences, such as language and the cookie choice stored by the banner
- Understand how you use our platform, so we can improve it
- Measure a signup or a credit purchase for advertising
3. Types of Cookies We Use
We group cookies as below. A banner on the site stores a preference. Blocking analytics cookies and the advertising tag is done in your browser.
3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the website to function. They cannot be switched off. They are usually only set in response to actions you take, such as logging in, setting preferences, or filling in forms.

3.2 Functional Cookies
These are stored by us in the browser. If you clear them, the site forgets the language and the stored cookie choice.

3.3 Analytics Cookies
These help us understand how the site is used, and they follow the choice you make in the banner. PostHog keeps its state in the memory of the page you are on and stores nothing on your device. If you accept analytics cookies and are signed in, PostHog receives your account id, name, and email with the pages you view; until you accept, it receives neither. PostHog keeps this under its own settings. We have disabled session recording in PostHog. We do not record your screen or keystrokes for analytics.

DataFast counts visits in aggregate. It runs until you object: choose "Necessary Only" in the banner, or switch analytics off, and it no longer loads.
3.4 Advertising measurement
If you accept marketing cookies in the banner, we load a Google tag. Without that consent it does not load. It records a conversion when you create an account or buy credits, including the amount and a transaction id. Google keeps that under its own settings.
4. Error records
We do not currently send error reports or session recordings to a separate error-monitoring service. API errors are kept in our own request log, as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Third-Party Cookies During Authentication
If you sign in with another company's account, that company may set its own cookies during sign-in. Those cookies are covered by that company's policy, not this one.
6. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

The banner at the bottom of the page stores your choice, and the site follows it: analytics and advertising scripts load only as described in sections 3.3 and 3.4. Clearing local storage for the site removes the stored choice, and the banner asks again on your next visit. You can also block cookies in your browser, as below.

Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically:
- View what cookies are stored
- Delete individual or all cookies
- Block cookies from specific or all sites
- Set preferences for first-party vs third-party cookies
Please note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in and using core features of SocialCrawl.

7. Data Transfers
PostHog, DataFast, and Google may process the data described above outside the United Kingdom. The safeguard for that transfer sits in the contract with the provider. This policy does not set out those contracts. The same point is in the Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
