Cookie Policy
How SocialCrawl uses cookies and similar technologies, what types we use, and how you can manage your preferences.
Effective Date: 9 April 2025
Last Updated: 9 April 2025
This Cookie Policy explains how Ridio Company Ltd ("we", "us", or "our"), operating the SocialCrawl platform, uses cookies and similar storage technologies when you visit or interact with our website and services. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide reporting information. Some cookies are set by us (first-party cookies), while others are set by third-party services we use (third-party cookies).
We also use similar technologies such as localStorage — a browser storage mechanism that functions like cookies but is stored differently. Where we refer to "cookies" in this policy, we include these similar technologies unless stated otherwise.
2. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Authenticate you and keep your session secure
- Remember your preferences, such as language and cookie consent choices
- Understand how you use our platform, so we can improve it
- Monitor errors and performance, so we can fix issues quickly
3. Types of Cookies We Use
We categorise our cookies into four groups. You can manage your preferences for optional cookies at any time using the cookie banner at the bottom of the page.
3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the website to function. They cannot be switched off. They are usually only set in response to actions you take, such as logging in, setting preferences, or filling in forms.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
| ---------------------------- | ----------- | -------------------------------------------------- | ----------------- |
| ridiostarter.session_token | SocialCrawl | Authenticates your session after login | Session / ~7 days |
| ridiostarter.state | SocialCrawl | Secures OAuth login flows (e.g. Google, GitHub) | Single use |
| ridiostarter.two_factor | SocialCrawl | Temporarily stores two-factor authentication state | Session |
3.2 Functional Cookies
These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalisation. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we use on our pages. If you do not allow these cookies, some features may not work correctly.
| Storage Key | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Technology |
| ---------------- | ----------- | ----------------------------------------------------- | ---------- | ------------ |
| locale | SocialCrawl | Remembers your preferred language (English or Korean) | Persistent | localStorage |
| cookie-consent | SocialCrawl | Stores your cookie consent preferences | Persistent | localStorage |
3.3 Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors use our website, which pages are visited most, and how users navigate the platform. All data is aggregated and anonymous. We use this information to improve SocialCrawl.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
| ------------------ | -------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------ | -------- |
| ph_phc_*_posthog | PostHog | Tracks anonymised usage patterns and page interactions | 1 year |
Note: We have disabled session recording in PostHog. We do not record your screen or keystrokes for analytics purposes.
3.4 Marketing Cookies
We do not currently use any marketing or advertising cookies. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and request your consent before setting any marketing cookies.
4. Error Monitoring and Session Replay
We use Sentry for error monitoring to identify and fix bugs. Sentry may:
- Capture error reports that include technical data (browser type, page URL, error stack traces)
- Record brief session replays when an error occurs, to help us reproduce and fix the issue (sampled at 10% of sessions; 100% when an error occurs)
This data is used solely for debugging and platform stability. It is not used for marketing, profiling, or advertising.
5. Third-Party Cookies During Authentication
When you sign in using a social provider (Google, GitHub, Apple, LinkedIn, Kakao, or Naver), that provider may set its own cookies during the authentication flow. These cookies are governed by the respective provider's cookie and privacy policies — not ours.
We do not control the cookies set by these third-party providers. Please refer to their individual policies for details:
- Google Privacy Policy
- GitHub Privacy Statement
- Apple Privacy Policy
- LinkedIn Privacy Policy
- Kakao Privacy Policy
- Naver Privacy Policy
6. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
On Our Website
You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking the cookie settings banner that appears at the bottom of the page, or by clearing your browser's local storage for our site.
In Your Browser
Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically:
- View what cookies are stored
- Delete individual or all cookies
- Block cookies from specific or all sites
- Set preferences for first-party vs third-party cookies
Please note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in and using core features of SocialCrawl.

7. Data Transfers
Some of our third-party cookie providers (PostHog, Sentry) process data in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the provider's participation in recognised data protection frameworks.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. If we make significant changes to how we use cookies, we will notify you through the cookie consent banner so you can review and update your preferences.
