Amazon Reviews API

Scrape Amazon Reviews data with one API call. Returns the customer reviews shown on an Amazon product page (by ASIN), typically around 8 per product. Each review carries the full text, star rating, reviewer, verified-purchase flag, helpful-vote count, and any review images. A product with no on-page reviews returns a refunded empty list.

Last updated September 2026Maintained by the SocialCrawl team

Returns the customer reviews shown on an Amazon product page, around 8 per ASIN, each with full text, star rating, reviewer, verified-purchase flag, and photos.

Use it when you want what shoppers wrote about an ASIN. This is one page of on-page reviews, not a full review crawl.

Amazon API

What can you do with the Reviews API?

The Reviews endpoint gives you structured Amazon data with computed fields in a single request. No scraping infrastructure to build or maintain.

Example Request

curl -H "x-api-key: YOUR_API_KEY" \
  "https://www.socialcrawl.dev/v1/amazon/reviews?asin=B0BTYCRJSS&country=US"
import requests

response = requests.get(
    "https://www.socialcrawl.dev/v1/amazon/reviews",
    params={
    'asin': 'B0BTYCRJSS',
    'country': 'US',
    },
    headers={"x-api-key": "YOUR_API_KEY"},
)

data = response.json()
const response = await fetch(
  "https://www.socialcrawl.dev/v1/amazon/reviews?asin=B0BTYCRJSS&country=US",
  {
    headers: { "x-api-key": "YOUR_API_KEY" },
  },
);

const data = await response.json();

Parameters

ParameterRequiredDescription
asinYes10-character Amazon ASIN (the product identifier).
countryNoAmazon marketplace as an ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 country code (default US). Supported: US, GB, CA, DE, FR, IT, ES, JP, IN, MX, BR, AU, NL. Amazon shows reviews across a product's whole variant family, so a review row can originate from a sibling ASIN; review.entity_id is always the ASIN you requested. "text": "Apple EarPods (USB-C) Okay honestly for $24 these are the best sounding cost effective wired earbuds money can buy. Money can buy It's nothing fancy, no noise canceling, just an ear bud that fits into most people's ears comfortably, has a little volume up and down controlled at works even on an Android phone, and actually sounds fantastic for the price. It's still a great value and easily can recommend this as a backup to Bluetooth. There are lots of USBC wired earbuds out there for about the same amount of money... But these ones are hands down actually. Very good. Sound quality wise. The bass to treble is well balanced and seals right into your ears quite nicely. Honestly, I really can't complain Great value cost effective. Pretty good sound for the price. You really can't go wrong. If you're looking for a wired USBC backup for your Apple or even Android phone, you literally can't go wrong with these and I don't recommend looking for third-party cheaper no name brands because I've tried a dozen of those other brands and nothing compared to the sound quality that these offer. Hands down Update: Apple Earpods (3.5mm Headphone Plug) Got the 3.5mm plug version.. same fit as USBC one. Since it's an analog plug is specifically got it to plug right into xbox controller for online game chat. It's less weight on the head than any other headphon+boom mic gamer headphones. Actually sounds just great and mic works great with Xbox. I dislike having such a heavy sweaty headphone while playing games. These are awesome. They're deceptively great sounding compared to other wires earbuds. Fit nicely and don't hurt long term. I recommend these easily for gamers who like to chat whilst gaming.",

Contact us
How do I get Amazon customer reviews with an API?
Send a GET request to /v1/amazon/reviews with the asin parameter for the product you want. The response returns the reviews on that product page, each with full text, star rating, reviewer, verified-purchase flag, helpful-vote count, and review images.
How many reviews does the Amazon Reviews API return?
It returns the customer reviews shown on the product page, typically around 8 per product, within a 5 to 13 range. Each review carries its full text, star rating, reviewer name, and any review images.
Does the API tell me if a review is a verified purchase?
Yes. Every review includes a verified-purchase flag along with its helpful-vote count, so you can weight or filter reviews by trust signal. The star rating and full review text come through as well.
Can I get reviews from a specific Amazon marketplace?
Yes. Pass the country parameter with an ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code to pull reviews from that marketplace's product page. Leave it off and the endpoint defaults to the US store.
How much does the Amazon Reviews API cost?
Each reviews request costs 5 credits on the advanced tier. If you already called /v1/amazon/product for the same ASIN, the reviews call returns fast from the shared upstream cache. New accounts get 100 free credits, no card.
