Target Stores API
Returns Target stores near a ZIP code, city, or state: store id, name, address, phone, distance, open or closed status, and daily opening hours.
GET /v1/target/storesLast updated October 2026Maintained by the SocialCrawl team
When to use the Target Stores API
Use it to find stores near a place. It will not change product prices, which are national on this API.
From the API reference
Returns Target stores near a ZIP code, city, or state, each with its store id, name, full address, phone number, distance from the searched location, open/closed status, timezone, and two weeks of daily opening hours. Store data changes rarely, so it is 1 credit and heavily cached. Note that Target's product pricing is national on this API, so a store id here is for store-locator use rather than for localising prices.

What can you do with the Stores API?
The Stores endpoint gives you structured Target data with computed fields in a single request. No scraping infrastructure to build or maintain.
Example Request
# GET /v1/target/stores: 1 credit per call. Cache hits are free and failed calls are refunded.
# Check the price first for 0 credits: add dry_run=1 to the query. Nothing is fetched or charged.
# --max-time 60: the API's own time limit for this endpoint.
# --retry 3: retries timeouts, 429 and 5xx, honoring Retry-After.
# -o response.json keeps only the final attempt's body.
# One Idempotency-Key per request, reused on every retry, so a retried call is never charged twice.
IDEMPOTENCY_KEY=$(od -An -N16 -tx1 /dev/urandom | tr -d ' \n')
