LinkedIn Profile With Posts API

Returns a member's profile with follower and connection counts in author, recent posts in the profile/posts item shape, and experiences, educations and skills under background.

GET /v1/linkedin/profile/with-posts

Last updated November 2026Maintained by the SocialCrawl team

When to use the LinkedIn Profile With Posts API

Use it for one call covering the counts, recent posts and career history. Use profile/complete when you need recommendations.

Not for recommendations or the full background (linkedin/profile/complete, linkedin/profile/all) or a company page (linkedin/profile/full).

From the API reference

Returns a LinkedIn member's profile, follower and connection counts, and recent posts in one premium call. author is the same Author object /v1/linkedin/profile returns, with followers and following filled from this call's counts. posts is an array of recent posts whose items match /v1/linkedin/profile/posts item for item (post.id is the activity id, post.published_at is the exact posting time, post.ext.reaction_counts breaks reactions down by type), so post.ext.published_at_precision is null: there is no approximation to declare. background holds summary (the About text, or null) and experiences, educations and skills arrays whose items match the matching /v1/linkedin/profile/* endpoint item for item; a leaf this call does not carry is null rather than missing. This call carries no recommendations; use /v1/linkedin/profile/complete for those. Every other top-level key is the original profile record, kept unchanged for compatibility.

What can you do with the Profile With Posts API?

The Profile With Posts endpoint gives you structured LinkedIn data with computed fields in a single request. No scraping infrastructure to build or maintain.

Example Request

# GET /v1/linkedin/profile/with-posts: 10 credits per call. Cache hits are free and failed calls are refunded.
# Check the price first for 0 credits: add dry_run=1 to the query. Nothing is fetched or charged.
# --max-time 60: the API's own time limit for this endpoint.
# --retry 3: retries timeouts, 429 and 5xx, honoring Retry-After.
# -o response.json keeps only the final attempt's body.
# One Idempotency-Key per request, reused on every retry, so a retried call is never charged twice.

Contact us
What does the LinkedIn Profile With Posts API return?
Returns a member's profile with follower and connection counts in author, recent posts in the profile/posts item shape, and experiences, educations and skills under background. The response uses the same JSON envelope as every SocialCrawl endpoint, with the data, credits_used and request_id fields.
When should I use the LinkedIn Profile With Posts endpoint?
Use it for one call covering the counts, recent posts and career history. Use profile/complete when you need recommendations. Not for recommendations or the full background (linkedin/profile/complete, linkedin/profile/all) or a company page (linkedin/profile/full).
How much does the LinkedIn Profile With Posts API cost?
Each call costs 10 credits, so the 100 free credits every new account gets cover 10 calls. Credits for failed or empty calls are refunded automatically, and there is no subscription.
What parameters does the LinkedIn Profile With Posts API need?
The one required parameter is url (full URL of the LinkedIn profile).
How do I call the LinkedIn Profile With Posts API?
Send a GET request to https://www.socialcrawl.dev/v1/linkedin/profile/with-posts?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.linkedin.com%2Fin%2Fadamselipsky%2F with your API key in the x-api-key header. An Authorization: Bearer header works too.
