# --retry 3: retries timeouts, 429 and 5xx, honoring Retry-After.
# -o response.json keeps only the final attempt's body.

Contact us
How do I get a company's LinkedIn employee count with an API?
Send a GET request to /v1/linkedin/company/employees-count with the numeric company_id from /v1/linkedin/company. SocialCrawl returns total, the number of LinkedIn members who list the company as their employer.
Can I get LinkedIn headcount by country or city?
Yes. Look up location ids with /v1/linkedin/search/location and pass them comma-separated in geocode, and the count is scoped to those places.
What else does the employee count response include?
Besides total, the response can group members under byGroup facets such as Current Function, Field of Study, Locations, School and Skill Explicit, each with member counts. That answers questions like how many staff work in engineering or studied computer science.
How much does the LinkedIn employee count API cost?
Each call costs 5 credits on the advanced tier. New accounts get 100 free credits with no card, about 20 lookups, and credits for failed or empty calls are refunded automatically.
Do I need this endpoint for a plain headcount?
Not always. The headline headcount is also on /v1/linkedin/company as author.ext.employee_count, so use this endpoint when you need the location or facet breakdown.
