Instagram Reels Trending API
Scrape Instagram Reels Trending data with one API call. Fetches trending reels from Instagram's public reels page. Instagram returns a small batch per call and results can overlap, so call repeatedly to discover more: duplicates are expected. Each item includes shortcode, URL, caption, media URLs, like and comment counts, and user info. There is no region or country option: Instagram assembles this feed for the account viewing it, not for a place, so the mix is global (measured 13/09/2026: a region hint changed the batch no more than a repeat call did). For region-scoped Instagram posts, find places with /v1/instagram/search/location and page their posts with /v1/instagram/location/posts. Note: engagement.views and content.duration_seconds are null on this endpoint. Instagram sends the play-count and duration keys on the trending surface with no value in them (measured null on 31 of 31 items), and no other source serves this feed, so a view count is not available here: pass a result URL to /v1/instagram/post for a per-reel view count, or use /v1/instagram/search/reels, which is sourced from a surface that still carries play counts.
