How-to guide

How to vet an influencer before a paid partnership

Send the creator's handle and platform to prism/creator-vet and one request returns engagement rate, comment and commenter quality, posting frequency and news or forum controversy judged item by item. Flags are sourced and namesakes are excluded. A run costs 50 credits.

50 credits per run, in one API call

The calls, in order

Each step is one request to the SocialCrawl API. Copy the curl, add your key and run it.

  1. Vet a creator before partnering: engagement quality, commenter authenticity, posting cadence, and controversy signals, optionally across platforms.

Contact us
What does the vetting call check?
It returns engagement rate, comment and commenter quality, posting frequency and controversy found in news and forums. Each controversy is judged item by item, so you see what was found rather than a single score.
How does it avoid mixing up people with the same name?
The registry says namesakes are excluded and flags are sourced, so each risk signal points to where it came from. You can open the source and decide whether it is the creator you are screening.
Why use this instead of separate calls?
The registry describes it as authenticity and risk signals together, rather than pulling profile, posts, comments and news separately. That is one request to price and one response to read for each candidate.
Which platforms can I vet on?
The example vets a YouTube channel by setting platform to youtube. Change handle and platform to screen a creator on another platform, and check the endpoint page for the list it accepts.
Can I vet a shortlist from a creator search?
Yes. Take the usernames from a search/creators result and send each one to creator-vet with its platform. You pay per vetted creator, so vet only the candidates that survive your follower and fit filters.
How much does one run cost?
One run of the example above costs 50 credits across one API call. Every new account gets 100 free credits, credits for failed or empty calls are refunded automatically, and there is no subscription.
