How-to guide

How to export TikTok comments and find the buyers in them

Send the video URL to prism/comments and it pages through up to 1,000 comments by default (max raises that to 5,000), with replies nested for up to 100 parent comments per call. The first 100 comments of each call carry computed.labels.purchase_intent, so you keep the buyers and drop the rest. A run costs 2 to 120 credits.

2 to 120 credits per run, in one API call

The calls, in order

Each step is one request to the SocialCrawl API. Copy the curl, add your key and run it.

  1. Every comment on a post, replies nested, server-paginated to completion.

The first 100 comments of each call carry computed.labels.purchase_intent, judged by default at no extra credits.

    curl
    curl -H "x-api-key: YOUR_API_KEY" \
      "https://www.socialcrawl.dev/v1/prism/comments?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.tiktok.com%2F%40stoolpresidente%2Fvideo%2F7623818255903329566"
Try this call on its endpoint page: Every comment on a post, replies nested, server-paginated to completion.

Prompt
Use the SocialCrawl API for this job: Collect every comment on a post, replies included, and keep the ones that show buying intent.
Base URL: https://www.socialcrawl.dev. Send the API key in the x-api-key header (an Authorization: Bearer header also works). Values in braces are placeholders to fill.
1. GET /v1/prism/comments?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.tiktok.com%2F%40stoolpresidente%2Fvideo%2F7623818255903329566 (The first 100 comments of each call carry computed.labels.purchase_intent, judged by default at no extra credits.)
Every response is JSON with data, credits_used and request_id. The full endpoint reference is at https://www.socialcrawl.dev/llms.txt.

Contact us
Does the export include replies?
Yes, for up to 100 parent comments per call. prism/comments nests their replies under the parent, Instagram needs replies=true, and a parent whose replies were cut off says so in replies_truncated.
Which comments get a buying intent label?
The first 100 comments of each call carry computed.labels.purchase_intent, judged by default at no extra credits. Comments beyond that are returned without the label, so filter on it where present and read the remainder separately.
Can I use this on platforms other than TikTok?
Yes. The same endpoint covers TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Reddit, Hacker News and Instagram posts, so you can reuse the pipeline by changing only the url. Pass a post link from the platform you want to read.
How do I turn the comments into a spreadsheet?
The response is JSON, so map the comment text, author, likes and the purchase_intent label to columns and write them to CSV in your own code. The structure is the same for every post, which keeps that mapping short.
How is this different from tiktok/post/comments?
tiktok/post/comments returns one page at a time with judged labels such as question or complaint. prism/comments collects the whole thread in one request, which suits an export when you want every row rather than a filtered view.
How much does one run cost?
One run of the example above costs 2 to 120 credits across one API call. Every new account gets 100 free credits, credits for failed or empty calls are refunded automatically, and there is no subscription.
