How-to guide
How to monitor brand mentions across news, blogs and forums
Send your brand name as keyword and a start date as date_from to prism/brand-mentions. One request returns mention volume over the window, the positive and negative split, the sites that talk about you most, a sample of recent mentions and, with include=digest, a short summary of what they say. A run costs 50 credits.

Each step is one request to the SocialCrawl API. Copy the curl, add your key and run it.

Use the SocialCrawl API for this job: Find recent mentions of a brand on news sites, blogs and forums across the web, with a summary of what they say.
Base URL: https://www.socialcrawl.dev. Send the API key in the x-api-key header (an Authorization: Bearer header also works). Values in braces are placeholders to fill.
1. GET /v1/prism/brand-mentions?keyword=socialcrawl&date_from={start_date}&include=digest (date_from is the first day of the window, as YYYY-MM-DD.)
Every response is JSON with data, credits_used and request_id. The full endpoint reference is at https://www.socialcrawl.dev/llms.txt.FAQ

Contact usHow do I monitor a different brand or a different time window?
Change keyword to the brand name you want and date_from to the first day of the window, written as YYYY-MM-DD. Nothing else in the request changes, so the same call works for your own brand, a competitor or a product name.
What does the response contain?
The response holds mention volume over time for the keyword, the positive and negative split, the sites talking most and a sample of recent mentions. Adding include=digest also returns a written summary of what the mentions say, so you do not have to read every row.
Can I use this to compare my brand with competitors?
It cannot do that in one call, because prism/brand-mentions is built for a single keyword's tracking view. For brands side by side the registry points to prism/share-of-voice, and for @handle or link mentions on social platforms it points to prism/mentions.
How do I check a brand again every week?
Run the same request on your own schedule and set date_from to the date of your previous run, so each pass covers only the new window. Keep the keyword identical between runs so the volume figures stay comparable.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes. Every new account starts with 100 free credits, which is enough to run the call on your own brand first and see whether the sample mentions and the digest are useful to you.
How much does one run cost?
One run of the example above costs 50 credits across one API call. Every new account gets 100 free credits, credits for failed or empty calls are refunded automatically, and there is no subscription.
