# TikTok Search Mentions API (https://www.socialcrawl.dev/platforms/tiktok/search-mentions)

> Returns TikTok videos by other accounts that mention an account. TikTok has no mentions feed, so each call runs /v1/tiktok/search for `@handle` and for the bare handle and keeps a video only when TikTok links the mention to that account (TikTok often shows a linked mention as the account's display name, so the account id is checked, not just the text), the caption carries the @handle, or it links the profile. The account's own videos are left out unless `include_self=true`, and a video found by both searches appears once. Each row in `data.items` is exactly the row the named search endpoint returns, with its `post` and `computed` blocks, plus `match_kind` (`mention` or `link`). Each row's `post.ext.mentioned_user_ids` lists the accounts TikTok links in it. `since` and `until` keep only rows published inside the window. Send `data.next_cursor` back as `cursor` for the next page; it is null when every search has run out. `data.legs` reports each search: its endpoint, status, rows returned and kept, credits and `request_id`. `data.excluded` counts the rows left out (`unmatched`, `self`, `duplicate`, `outside_window`). Each call is one page of each search, 1 credit each, so at most 2.

TL;DR: `GET /v1/tiktok/search/mentions` costs Metered, 0-2 credits: each call reads one page of /v1/tiktok/search (1 credit) and /v1/tiktok/search (1 credit), each billed at that endpoint's own price exactly as a direct call is. A page that found nothing or failed costs nothing, and a page served from cache is free. A page is billed when it returned rows, even if none of them carried the mention; data.legs shows each page's charge and data.excluded what was left out. and returns SocialCrawl's unified JSON schema.
