# Bing (/docs/bing) Read Bing web results, news, videos, suggestions and rank checks as structured JSON Bing is Microsoft's search engine. These endpoints return its first page of organic results, news, videos and search suggestions, and a rank check that tells you where a domain appears for a search. Base URL: `/v1/bing/...` Bing exposes 5 routes here. Every route takes a `query`. The filters `market`, `country`, `language` and `safe_search` narrow the results where they apply. `GET /v1/bing/search` serves Bing's first results page only. Bing's deeper pages are not served, so use `GET /v1/bing/rank` to scan up to 200 positions for one domain. ## Quickstart ### Search the web Results come in order, each with its position, title, link, displayed address, domain, site name, snippet and date. Where Bing shows them, the response also carries an estimated result count, a corrected query, related searches and People Also Ask questions. ```bash title="cURL" curl "https://www.socialcrawl.dev/v1/bing/search?query=best%20running%20shoes&market=en-US" \ -H "x-api-key: YOUR_API_KEY" ``` ### Check where a domain ranks Pass a domain such as `runnersworld.com`, or a URL with a path such as `example.com/blog`. One call scans up to 200 positions, set with `depth`. ```bash title="cURL" curl "https://www.socialcrawl.dev/v1/bing/rank?query=best%20running%20shoes&url=runnersworld.com&depth=100" \ -H "x-api-key: YOUR_API_KEY" ``` ### Add news or videos News reaches back to the past hour with `time_range` (`any`, `hour`, `day`, `week` or `month`). Videos return the hosting site, channel, duration, age and view count. ```bash title="cURL" curl "https://www.socialcrawl.dev/v1/bing/news?query=nike&time_range=day" \ -H "x-api-key: YOUR_API_KEY" ``` ## Filters `market` takes a Bing market such as `en-US`, `en-GB`, `de-DE` or `ja-JP` (38 in all) and defaults to `en-US`. `safe_search` is `strict`, `moderate` or `off`. On search and rank, `time_range` is `any`, `day`, `week`, `month` or `year`, and `device` is `desktop` or `mobile`. ## All endpoints ## Platform notes **Rank checks match subdomains by default.** Send `include_subdomains=false` to count only the exact domain. A rank check stops at the first results page with a match unless you send `all_matches=true`, which scans the whole depth and reports every matching position. **News, videos and suggestions return one page.** There is no next page on these routes, and `limit` caps how many rows come back. ## Next steps - [Credits](/docs/credits.md): What each tier costs, and which failures are refunded. - [DuckDuckGo](/docs/duckduckgo.md): Independent search results and rank checks in the same shape. - [Google](/docs/google.md): Google search results in the same API.
